Howard Jones is celebrating his 70th birthday this week.

He was born in Southampton and spent some of his teen years in Canada. His career began in 1981 and after a support slot for Orchestral Manoeuvres in the Dark  he was signed to Warner Brothers records and had his first hit, New Song, in 1983.
